Should I Cancel My Medigap Plan F?

Plan F is no longer available to newly-eligible enrollees in 2020.

Plan F rate increases are expected. If you're able to switch to Plan G, it could lead to significant savings.

What you need to know about Plan F

2020 Plan F Cancellation

When Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) goes into effect on January 1, 2020, Plan F can no longer be sold to newly-eligible Medicare beneficiaries.

No Impact for Current Enrollees

The MACRA changes will not impact the coverage of people already enrolled in Medigap Plan F. You'll be able to keep your plan and maintain your benefits.

Plan F Rate Increases

We have already seen an increase in the cost of Medigap Plan F as 2020 approaches. Industry experts believe premiums will continue to increase for those who keep their Plan F.

You Can Switch Medigap Plans

You can switch from Plan F to another plan at any time. There is no need to wait for an "open enrollment." You will, however, need to answer a few medical questions, so you'll want to switch while you're still healthy.

[My agent] went out of his way with the policies even when I’m three states away on an ugly schedule he found time to make my life easier and get my policies at a reasonable price.

Incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. So nice to have someone to help navigate thru the maze of Medicare at no additional cost.
